EVEN FOR JUST ONE DAY
A while ago in our English class, we had this activity. We have to present the movie poster we made about Edgar Allan Poe's ANNABEL LEE. We also have to present a way on how will we endorse our movie. We chose the movie trailer way. Honestly, we really had a hard time creating it. We just started and finished in the 20-minute practice time given by our teacher (the activity was given to us yesterday). We should've started it before lunch time ended but then we had a hard time thinking on how will we present it and thinking of a song. We ended up choosing Mariah Carey's "Never Too Far Away". We actually suggested that Mia should sing the song but then it would be off since she would pass away in the movie (she's the one portraying Annabel Lee. Read the poem to understand. (: ). So it ended up I singing the song.
I don't know why but I felt weird while singing it. It has been a long time since I last sang a song in front of a crowd (3 months? para sa akin matagal na yan! :p). Hmm. Or should I say it has been a long time since I felt good singing a song. Without hesitations, without nervousness.
I have been singing since I was a kid. My mom said I'm inclined to music becasue when I was still in her tummy, she always play a walkman and sometimes it's left open when she's sleeping. Sometimes he puts the radio near her tummy. When I was already a baby, my yaya always leave the radio playing by my side. Well, that could be the reason. But whatever the reason is, I always feel that I was born and destined to have my singing talent. I might sound bragging but I do believe that singing is my best talent. I've won two awards for it and I guess I could consider my self a good singer with that.
I have always dreamt of being a famous singer. Having my own major concert and having my own platinum album. I have always dreamt of being a part of a rock band. And I do hope that those dreams would come true one day. Even for just
ONE DAY. I would like to show other people one of the best gifts that God has given me. And I would like to show other where I put 1/8 of my heart.
